I have found that collection agencies (the more reputable and better-known ones) will not even take on a collection claim unless it's over $1000.  My attorney won't bother with them unless they're over $2500; he says it's better to write off the loss if it's a smaller amount.

If anyone happens to know of a good collection company that will take on under $1000 per collection, I would appreciate some help!
