This is a great article. The article offers a lot of good advice as to abusive collection practices. I love going after abusive collection agencies. Unfortunately all too often the victims have failed to properly document their experiences in writing or where permissable by tape recording.
The other violation that many people do not seem to know about is telemarketers calling someone on a federal or state no call list. You can actually make money from suing the violators because they are required to review the list before making a call. Guess they have not heard of it in India since I seem to receive a number of incomprehensible telephone calls from that area.
I remember talking to a woman at a closing recently that was having a similar problem with telemarketers. She informed the Indian caller that she was on a no call list. He did not seem to understand what that meant. She told him it meant not to call again. He became very irate, and told her he would call again and again as he pleased. So goes the selling of America and the outsourcing of work to the third world.
