I don't have a problem with stuff being online to some extent because it's already been done here, however the online systems here are not reliable enough to base a search on. As I have said many times before, I will use the online systems to get what information I can ahead of time before going to to the county offices but certainly wouldn't put full faith into the systems that are online because I have seen the mistakes in both places. I also double check all my information while at the courthouses even if I think I have all I need and all should be good. Besides, the most of the counties here only go back from either 1 year up to as much as 20 years, but most only a few years and I have talked to many of the recorders in these counties who state they won't be putting any more history of records onto the online systems because of the time and cost to do so. At least it's somewhat comforting to know that abstractors will still be needed here for many years to come. Now, I just need more work coming in to stay in business...lol.
