We have updated pet news. After the passing of our Akita, Phoenix, we were quite lonely without a dog. My daughter has been volunteering at our local animal hospital and fell in love with Siberian Huskies. Needless to say the same breeder that we got our Akita from 9 years ago now breeds Siberians. We picked up our new guy last week, Diesel, and are picking up another this weekend. We are crazy I know......we did so much research on this breed that we are well prepared for what we are in for!!

I do agree with you about the pounds, it is very hard to go there. I'm afraid that if we went there we would want to take them all home with us. We do from time to time donate food or money to our local SPCA. These truly are the innocent victims of these times. All they want to do is love and be loved. Sometimes you honestly have to wonder who are the REAL animals!!
