This post does not speak to the core idea of the Project Open Records, but it does defend the status quo by saying, in essence, "it's always been this way, so don't challenge what is, and learn to accept the power of the state in administering this system."

I prefer to think of it as, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."  The "system" of which Ms. Johnson speaks has been in place for hundreds of years.  Why anyone would want to tinker with something that, on balance, has worked so well through the years is completely beyond me.

BTW, you might want to lose that snotty, elitist attitude.  There's no reason to talk down to people just because they don't agree with you.
