I am posting the following information from the CEO of Blue Streak Docs to address any concerns regarding payment of abstractor fees:

I have wanted to respond to this thread for a while now but decided first to investigate internally the claims that were made here and clean up any problems.  Zook Search has been paid in full and Justin Daley has as well.

I understand the importance of maintaining good (great) relationships with independent abstractors as you are all very much depended upon and appreciated. Prompt payment is the most important factor, so I want to explain our payment system so that there is a better understanding.

The agreement that abstractors sign with Blue Streak Docs states that we pay NET 45. Despite that, we try to pay sooner and many times we are well ahead and pay NET 30, 15 and sometimes even NET 7. Anything that varies from the above is unintentional and will be corrected as quickly as possible.

If there is a fee discrepancy on completed work, we do our best to alert the abstractor before they are sent payment so that they understand why the fee needs to be revised or give them the opportunity to correct us ahead of time so that when payment is received, the amount is correct. Sometimes, for example, copies are sent that were not asked for – we cannot pay for these so the fee would be adjusted.

We added a feature, about a year or so ago, to our vendor portal that shows invoices that are still open and those that have been paid in an effort to help our abstractors save time in verifying payments as well as our accounting department.

Most recently, we have done a full reorganization in our Vendor Relations and Order Management Department – we’ve definitely had some personnel challenges last year but with new management in that area we are building a much better and efficient team to work with you. If our systems have broken down, I apologize for that and we will just work harder to make improvements. But to be clear – we DO care very much about how we pay you and how you are treated. If there are any outstanding matters – financial or whatever please contact my new Orders Administration Manager, Victoria at VictoriaM@bluestreakdocs.com and you can also CC me at SamG@bluestreakdocs.com.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
