I meant to add BSC Article 3 Section 306A to the above citation of New York's Consolidated Laws. Your attorney may be entirely right. I am only trying to make a determination from what I am seeing on record with the Secretary of State.
A review of your corporate information available on line from the Secretary of State indicates that you have properly identified an address to which the Dept of State can send process. This would seem to suggest that the Secretary of State is to be your firm's agent to receive process. I think the confusion that I am experiencing is the designation of "None" under the heading for registered agent. Possibly the issue is easily resolved by viewing the appointment of a registered agent in addition to the Secretary of State under BSC Article 3 Section 305 of New York's Consolidated Laws as precatory rather than mandatory.
