I would hope that the new clerk would be interested in fixing that problem.  But, if not, I think this would be something that should be brought up to the state land title association.  Perhaps they aren't aware of the issue if its only in one specific county.  If the problem is causing many erroneous filings, it could cause problems for title insurers.  Those that actually take the time to get these sort of things corrected will be spending much more time on their files.  Land title associations have been known to take county recorders to court for failing to follow the rules.  However, I don't think the rules governing text size on recordable documents necessarily applies to the recorders filing stamp after the document is recorded.  Still, the land title association may have more influence in working with the office to persuade them to change their ways.
