Why go though all of this effort, just to file suit to collect your debts. If they are going to settle...they will have to do it within the confines of the suit. You can demand a stipulation for judgment if they agree to  certain amount to which you agree, and can draft into it your required terms of judgment. You can also secure the judgment through a judgment lien. Come on people....wake up,  and stop whining about your troubles. Do something about it.
