Hey Steve,  You are in the majority ( most would love to work from home having coffee and tuning in to your favorite music station) however --If you polled the public you would be in the minority. If you are going to say id theft is not a problem since it can be stolen many ways is like telling a drunk driver to wear a blind fold since they may get into an accident anyway.

                  From an examiners point of view you are also in the minority in thinking on-line is as accurate as going to the county clerk. I have seen how my county and some other's have went about it and it was not good. I think we will see many counties go on-line just to pull it off-line down the road( like my county did).

                 I don't know how fairfax county is,  but out side of you i have not heard any positive reviews. You said on-line is exactly the same as what is at the clerks office, that would mean if I  went to the clerks office---  1) The only records I have access to is what is on there computer (why would the clerk maintain and give access to the the records in any other form) ------ 2) There computer access is identical to on-line , which would mean there computers are also on-line. This way any mistake's you find at home are the same mistake's you will find at the clerks office.If both of these are accurate statements (which I doubt) I would be glad to pay any reasonable access fee and work from home ( although I do think Id theft is still a problem and will never agree that having one's info on the world wide web is a good thing , nor do i think it is good to lose local jobs to anyone outside the local area).
