Michael: I agree completely that I am in the minority here regarding the on line systems- just look at the what is directed my way when ever I bring it up!!! The systems each have their own differences, one has to work with them to understand all the nuances that are inherent with each system- just takes time, but not all that difficult to overcome and be able to navigate through the entire site. And has been clearly stated by others- the records I get are not the "official" records and the clerk's all have to issue disclaimers on there sites and offices because they are not certified true copies- I doubt that any of us provide that kind of service- it would be cost prohibitive.But there just might be a few that do that-and they would be in the minority also.

As far as the documents being available on line- in the counties that I subscribe to, they are exactly the the same- no difference- the programs that each clerk employs might be a little different in the record room, but the documents are the same- the errors and the corrections that may occur are all there also- until someone picks them up and fixes them( with notation as I have indicated before)-

As far as being in the minority for on line systems- I have to disagree on that- there used to be hundreds of examiners/abstractors in the record rooms around here-( I remember taking a quick count in Fx one day and there were over 130 in the record room)- And now the record rooms are all but empty- those people went somewhere- and they are still doing searches, just not in the courthouse anymore-there are hundreds of subscribers to the respective counties around here-just no one on SOT wants to be subjected to what always seems to occur when a discussion comes up- and I agree with them- there just is no reason for that on here- where an open discussion should be able to provide some insight and information as to how each of us does what we do- ( the actual size of the record rooms now has been reduced also since they no longer have to have those thousands of deed books and indexes out in the open rooms- it is all now on the computers having been scanned and filmed . The clerk's have all been able to reduce their work force too, just not nearly the "public" encounters in there anymore)
