They can fix prices and we can refuse to take on work that does not pay the bills.  We service rural areas and have an average of 30 miles between each courthouse.  We literally can spend half the day just driving.  We can't lower our prices at all.  They are already at the minimum it takes to operate the business.  And it is a good question whether "sacrifice" is being passed to the bottom of the "title chain" (us abstractors).
