Thanks for the responses, guys. As to your suggestion, Steve, when something is of record, we do include a copy of the docket sheet. In fact, the first time this came up, the client pointed out that we did show items on our reports to them that could only have come from the Prothonotary's office. It's tough to prove a negative,however, i.e., showing a client that a judgment "isn't there" when working with the paper indices and the old canvas books.
I have considered pursuing legal action, but my paramount concern is just because I have the right to sue, does that necessarily mean I should?
