I KNOW SOMEONE WHO WAS IN A LEASE TO PURCHASE AGREEMENT ON A PIECE OF REAL ESTATE. THEY SIGNED THE AGREEMENT ALONG WITH THE OWNER WHO IS ALSO THE PRESIDENT OF THE CORPORATION SELLING THE PROPERTY. THEY RECENTLY FOUND OUT THAT THE NOTARY THAT STAMPED THE DOCUMENT WAS SECRETARY/TREASURER OF THIS SAME CORPORATION AND BOTH OF THEM ARE LISTED AS DIRECTORS. DOES THIS MAKE THE NOTARY PART OWNER OF THE CORPORATION?
CAN THE NOTARY STAMP A DOC THAT SHE IS A ENTITY OF?
IF NOT, DOES THIS AFFECT THE CONTRACT? I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT CORPORATIONS. THANKS AND PLEASE REPLY.
