Amazing how the ones that don't pay are always the ones that get angry, blow up, verbally abuse, etc.

Here's an interesting way how to get paid.  One abstractor I know was promised his money on a certain date.  It didn't arrive.  He called and was promised again.  Again, it failed to arrive.  He taped several copies of his invoice together in the fax machine and started it up and let it loop all night long.  The client called, irate, the next day.  After talking with him, they promised to overnight the check.  Still didn't arrive.  So he "looped" his invoice to them again.  They were losing business every minute orders couldn't come through their fax machine.  So they called and promised again.  This time, he got his check.
