lol.....so your claim is that a person claiming slander must prove the statements made against them are false?
However, thank you for making my point....."the truth is a defense." But just like self-defense is a defense to a murder trial, while a worthy defense and maybe true, still not a fun situation to be in, and you are still defending a claim.
With slander i think you are misinformed on whom the burden of proof lies. You might want to call any attorney, you won't need one focusing on tort law. Or call a first year law student....or read your local statutes. Any of these will help you out.
However, I would like to point out, I was simply attempting to assist the gentleman from NM, but thank you for your imput.
