[-] Anger and Investment - Jay Duncan/MO (4 replies)
4/14/2007 5:30:19 PM (4025 views)

What are we all angry and snapping at each other for?  Difference of opinion...possibly or is it more rooted than that and this is a forum to just cut loose?  This is what certain elements of the Title Industry are hoping for, divided and arguing abstractors.  What a better way to get cheaper prices.  United we stand, divided we fall.

We all angry about different things and I am just as guilty as everyone else.

We are angry about non-paying or slow paying clients.

Angry about ex-employees starting their own abstract business behind our back and taking our clients.

Angry about business and records going to India.

Angry about unrealistic turn times on orders.

Angry about training client's employees over the phone because they know less about title than the LO's.

Angry about public records on-line (and mostly incomplete records).

Angry about the slowness of the benefits advancement of Naltea and the non-communication from the Board.  I really did not realize how non-communicative it was until I was no longer on the board and I apologize to the membership for that.  (I am guilt of this one about being angry and I apologize to Doug, Robert and the entire board).

And I am sure the list can go on and on.

If we would channel our angry, myself included, into a cohesive organization, just imagine what we as abstractors could do?

We already have examples of this with David and Jan in getting public records pulled off the internet.

Naltea is the only association for abstractors.  Can you imagine what a couple hundred or thousand Davids and Jans could do?

I would invite everyone to join Naltea, www.naltea.org , as an investment in your business and your industry.

There is already a couple of benefits from joining and more being worked on.  One is discounts rates on Source of Title and another is being listed in Naltea membership directory inwhich I have already received a couple new clients.
