just read Jarrod's article, /article.aspx?uniq=2480. Wow. Sounds like all real estate transactions will come to a screeching halt since the Recorder's don't have a list all the exempt persons listed in the new law and are scared to death of it. I wonder how many in the industry, mortgage brokers, lenders, title companies and most importantly, abstractors will be able to last until this gets straightened out. Wonder if they will get a similiar stay like Texas.
