Mr. Delli-Veneri,
I think you will find that the majority of individuals who use and frequent this site are not the type of person your most recent post suggests. While there are those in any industry that do not want to see their "competitors" do well, most of the people that provide feedback and commentaries on this site do not fit into that category.
While I won't profess to know Ms. Reed's intentions, I must say that your hostility may have been misplaced. I, for one, think that anyone who wants to enter this industry and learn the trade versus merely using their keyboard to search the records or offer cheap products in order to steal business from "the professionals" is someone the industry needs. Qualified abstractors and examiners are few and far between as more of the older, experienced and knowledgeable professionals retire or leave the industry because their efforts to profit and stay afloat fall to the wayside due to those who wish to undercut them by providing inferior products.
It's issues like competition and the "everyone hates me because I'm new attitude" that have beleaguered the efforts of the National Association of Land Title Examiners and Abstractors (NALTEA) since its inception. More attention should be paid to the issues that you address, but I don't think that Ms. Reed was wishing you any ill will.
I hope you find our site beneficial and are profitable in this business. If I misread your post, I apologize beforehand.
Best regards,
Jarrod A. Clabaugh
