Lying & the Iron Fist - Mike/CO
3/15/2007 12:24:07 AM (1845 views)
Business is business. If we don't know that, then we are naive.

But...

Since when, in this culture, did lying and iron-fist rule become acceptable?

Not just with payment matters but other interactions.

I apologize for keeping this cryptic but there are obvious reasons for that.

We're all used to being "mislead" on collections but in the last week, was flat-out lied to by a vendor manager and that's not speculation but a fact.

Last week, another client, despite one-day turnarounds on ALL ORDERS, despite them losing original faxes, getting snotty about it (does this happen to you too, where some clients talk down to you for all requests, just seeing you as dirt?), and then when you protest that behavior in a controlled manner, the work disappears because they decided to throw a fit and punish. This is a major company too. And they are such good people that they are, um...late, on payment.

There are some great companies to work with in this business but some people who have zero people skills, selfish punks all around, no character, and will take from you but then not live up to their end of the bargain with either mutual respect nor compensating on time.to post a reply: login - or - register
