I think that if I were in his position I would really not be inclined to thank anyone for anything. I would be looking for payback. $500,000.00 is an insult. Don't think it will be easy to explain an 18 year absence from the job market in an interview.It is my understanding that there are some states that do not provide for compensation for false imprisonment.
