George,
Hopefully for everyones sake it doesnt come to that-- haha. Seriously, there are some troubling things about this. I went here and posted a clarification to make sure that everyone knows that I wasnt talking about DRI management or company policy in my first post. I have done all that I can to clarify that for anyone who may have taken it that way. I do not have the ability to edit these remarks. I have been in contact with Robert Franco today about this issue to try to do whatever I can. The only thing was to post the clarification. I am honest enough to admit that I either should have chosen my words better or simply not have mentioned anything about my experiences working for both American Title and DRI. I apologize for this and have done all in my power to clear the issue.
However, I stand behind my story of the payment problems that I have had. Yet the other side has stood firm and refused to admit that they could have handled it any better. Instead, they chose to reply by trashing my work. Despite the fact that they kept sending it to me up until I told them I would no longer do it. I have never said that anybody should stop working for them. I told the two people that responded that they hadnt had any problems that I was glad for them and that maybe, hopefully, mine was an isolated instance. I do think that the problems that I had warranted a post on this board simply to let others know what I had gone through.
After all, isnt that the whole reason for this boards existence? So that we can freely express ideas, opinions, problems and solutions with each other? This is supposed to be our domain. If we are having the companies that we work for threatening us every time we post a problem, then what good is this board. I was simply sharing my experience with all of you. Whether you believe me or not and what companies you work for or not is all up to you. I am not trying to get anyone to quit doing DRI's work-- and quite frankly, anybody that would quit over one persons complaint isnt very bright. It is just information that you can file away, and should it ever happen to you, you would know that you arent the first. Only in extremely rare instances would I ever turn down a companies work based upon others say-so. If anything, I would encourage all of you to keep doing DRI's work. I am not vengeful or vindictive. I simply had an experience to share that I felt was important enough for all of you to know about. I feel that a company telling me that a check was sent, when they know that it wasnt-- is important. I have had threats of lawsuits, my work ethic trashed-- but nobody has come forward to address the issue that I was told something that was not true. Also, I am curious as to who it is at DRI that has been replying to these posts? I havent seen a name attached.
