I see your point. There is no better feeling than outsmarting an opponent or making him feel inferior in an argument. I will give you that, and as an attorney, I know you live for it too. While debating is fun and the ribbing that we all give you is in good nature, this guy crossed the line. I know turning the other cheek is the way to go, and as a christian I should do it.
However, when it turns into a personal attack it's hard to turn away. I can understand how a soldier, putting his life on the line for this idiot, may react differently than you would. That's all.
On another note, I have a legal question for you. Are you versed in criminal law at all? Here goes. One of our tenants is sueing us for neglegence, not really the issue. He had 3 warrants out for his arrest for bad checks. According to court records he paid the restitution on these checks, but never turned himself in. The clerk stated that the warrants are still in place. True? He has a depo on Monday, and I'd like him to get picked up after.......I know mean spirited! What is your take on it?
