Hi Folks. I have been a reader of this message board for a long time. I rarely post anymore, but check the site daily. As some of you know, I am a non-practicing lawyer (from one of the "other" Ohio law schools, Robert). Over the past year or so, I have read with interest the posts concerning CRS and other troubled companies. Although CRS owes us nothing, Monica and I sure have had our dealings with distressed companies, excuses, unanswered calls, unreturned messages, etc... I can honestly say that, with one exception before I relocated to Maine, we have never been "stiffed." I'm not going to bore you guys with my collection strategy, but I will say this about Contemporary Realty Solutions. If my company was owed $5,000 or anything close, I would talk to my lawyer about involuntary bankruptcy. It is not a widely applied procedure, and it is certainly no slam dunk, but when "friendly" creditors are being paid and other creditors are being shunned, it is a remedy worth considering.
