Personally I think that this is the least that could be done. The Recorders, Clerks, etc have never been held accountable for their mistakes. And we all know that they are made. Abstractors on the other hand are ALWAYS being held accountable for not only their mistakes but also for items that they could not possibly find in a million years, because of the indexing. Making a notation as to the date an item is corrected should be a given.
