I have a scenario for everyone and would like to know how you'd feel if placed in the same situation.
Your working hard for someone; even made management within a couple years of being with them. Well, now come raise reviews and the owner gives you a slap in the face raise; you're barely making over what the general workers are making, as the manager. You give the owner a chance to reconcile the matter and they still show no appreciation for the work you've done. You inform this owner that if the raise does not reflect the work done, then you will have to leave. He refuses to do so.
Well, now the thing you know how to do best is the skill learned from this job. You open your own business steering away from soliciting your past employer's clients. If one of his clients were obtained, it was through them contacting you, them advertising, or a staff member giving them your name. Well now this past employer is meddling in your business, literally. This ex-employer is calling the state and inquiring about your business; as if it is any of their business.
Just want to know how anyone else would feel.
