You are not alone. Hope they are at least beginning the offer at more than $90! My last Edocs arrived just in time ... except for the settlement statement and title affidavits, which arrived an hour later because although lender got docs out, lender didn't have time to approve settlement statement. Then the lender calls to ask why, when I had their loan documents, I CHANGED the signing to a later time!?
From a friend last night: An out-of-state attorney telling her it is OK to notarize tonight for a borrower with NO identification, date notarizations tonight, and see identification when (or if) borrower gets it tomorrow. "If YOU don't do this, it will be YOUR fault borrower loses rate lock."
Borrower knew for more than a week that identification was required; lost identification more than a week ago, too. It is people like this that give attorneys a bad reputation. At least you can do battle with Esq. after your name. :)
