Hey Gang
I just had a super, dooper crazy thought. I have been trying to think "outside" the box...and perhaps I have a passing thought that will accomplish a few things. I don't know; but with all the brains floating around in here and all the talent.....
What is to stop NALTEA from becoming a title insurer? Sure, I know there are hoops to get thru. First of all, a Business Plan to present to an Underwriter. Secondly, marketing, marketing, marketing. For crying out loud, SOT has abstractors from all across America - so there's no problem with getting any search done. NALTEA would have to hire people to manage and market...it could still be a not-for-profit operation. With the onset of the Internet and access to each other instanteously...researchers..typists...closers...we are all here. Now that is something that I would definitely join NALTEA for. Then NALTEA would qualify for Health Insurance for its co-operative members and we would have input with the PTB. As a member of NALTEA - you, I, we all could own a peice of the pie. We could set up Management Teams for each State and have the Management Team responsible for qualifying and screening potential "members" so that it is a viable, responsible entity for underwriters to vie for. Better than a union...and in the consumer's best interest. NALTEA would have an attraction to quality people...
Any thoughts?
