Good afternoon everyone. My name is George Booth. I am making a general inquiry into the forums and this is my first post. I am considering taking a job with a company that offers third party policy writing. My job will be sales to title companies that are behind or do not have the resources to stay ontop of thier policy issuance. Some companies I have found out are 6 months to many years behind in issuing homeowners written policies. If I could get some feedback I would appreciate it. From speaking with the owner's of this company they advise me the main objection is owner's don't believe being behind in policy issuance is a big deal. Or they will get around to it. Is it truely a big deal to not get the policy out immediately? What is the position of the underwriter in this case? I'm wondering if they have stumbled on a true need in the industry or if this is a pipe dream. I have not taken the job yet, as I am looking to see if there is a true need. Your replys are greatly appreciated.
Thanks you,
George
