Donna,
It is incredible you found this online. I have been working with some officials and journalists in Fort Bend County. The Fort Bend Herald did a four part series exposing what the County Clerk had done with the records entrusted to her. This series resulted in some of the leading citizens down there contacting me. Jarrod is about to release an article he has been preparing on this county. In my opinion, Dianne Wilson is the most dangerous clerk in Texas.
I first learned of Dianne Wilson when several clerks in Texas Counties asked me to look into her record of recklessness. Not only does she publish the sensitive information of her constituents but she promotes this practice throughout Texas and elsewhere for the benefit of her vendor. Her vendor is so impressed they tout her as a hero on their website.
Wilson contacted me by email a couple of months ago asking for some case records I had. The correspondense exposed many of the deceits she has used on her own people and the rest of the county clerks.
The insuing investigation revealed Wilson has a long standing history of problems with identifying herself correctly to the people. I documented this in When Government Officials Aren't What They Seem
Wilson recently took down the probate files from her website but intends to sell the county on software that will allow her to redact the social security numbers from the records. Similar software was sold to a Florida County last summer for a cost to the taxpayers of $500,000. The software only removes social security numbers and is unlikely to recognize handwritten numbers. Wilson has exposed the social security numbers, bank account and routing numbers, credit card numbers, driver's license numbers, authorized signatures, medical and psychological information of her husband's family in the probate records. Ironically, Wilson filed these records herself, posted them online, and now has removed them.
