Attendees and NALTEA members have been having a very educational experience on the official first day of the 2006 Winter Conference. A presentation from Bert Rush this morning was very interesting and he presented many issues that abstractors should consider when conducting searches and investigating title. In addition to Mr. Rush's presentation, Wanda Steudel provided a very thorough and thought-provoking workshop that addressed many of the issues she has seen in her 35 years in the industry.
Between Mr. Rush's presentation and Mrs. Steudel's workshop, the attendees heard the goals and interests of those currently seeking a position on the board of NALTEA.
Following a catered luncheon, Chuck Hawthorne of Integrated Imaging and Source of Title's Slade Smith also presented the availability of new software available through an alliance between the two companies that aims at improving the speed and ease under which examiners conduct business.
Linda Hernandez of Old Republic is currently presenting the difference between owner's policies and lender's policies in the title insurance industry. To all those of you who cannot be with us, Source of Title will be providing a more in-depth analysis of today's events at a later time.
