I agree with Lisa too, the 19 year old should have never got that much time, he did not have an accident or kill/injure anyone. He should have had his license suspended for 10 years. First offense, plenty of community service and attending MADD/SADD meetings. Anything after the first offense, shame on them, take away their license and some time in jail to think about it will help them remember not to do it again. I do believe that if someone kills someone while drinking and driving, they should get life. You do the crime, you pay the time. Everyone should think twice about drinking and driving, even one drink impairs your ability to drive.
I do not have one bit of sympathy for drivers that drink. There are too many options for people to not to have to drive.
