With all these people being convicted in escrow crimes, mortgage crimes and stealing from title companies and being ordered to make restitution, usually in the millions of dollars, how often are the victims really paid back their loses?
Not that I would rather see Peter Shaw of Capital Title (St. Louis) rot behind bars for more than the one year he got for his stealing, and they never found the money that he received from a DOT he took out on the company's building within days after Capital Title going splat.
