Bankruptcies are, of course, filed in US District Courts and my client has to order an additional search to search for a current bankruptcy at an additional charge.  I have been asked to do that before on foreclosure abstract reports.  If the taxing entities show that a bankruptcy has been filed, because sometimes they were notified and will tell you, I will note that they say one is filed but I do not guarantee whether one is filed or not.
