I have been a registered user of this site almost from the start and have watched it grow from just the listings to the forums and on.  Many great things have come out of this site and you should be rewarded for it.  I can absolutely say that the $99.00 I spent on an enhanced listing last year was well worth it and I plan on renewing my listing.  I can only say that this person must have no marketing skill whatsoever if they never even got one call from their listing here. 

By the way, one of the reasons I purchased my enhanced listing is the same reason that I contribute to PBS.  You don't have to, but someone has to pay for it.  If you use it, that someone should be you.
