Well, I hope that you are not saying that I am frustrating you. I merely asked a question and posted the feelings that I had this morning.
I never said that I am not making enough money per deal. I remember when GAC was paying $50-$60 in my area and ATM Corp was paying the same. Now they are down to $35.
I am not going to do the $35 deals that GAC and ATM Corp. is offering in my area. I am going to market on this website and I am continuing to put my money where it works the best and where I am forced to. (E&O and Maryland licensing are forced upon me) I try to stick with local title companies because the fees are so low with the national companies.
I am no longer doing "back up" abstractor work for two (2) companies because 1 hour after they send the search, they start calling every hour checking status. How many times does a company have to call in one day? If I am 15 miles from the courthouse and I have 3 counties to cover, I can't be back to the office for a $40 current owner in 2 hours when I have 20 other searches to do.
They then say, our abstractor is always late getting the searches in and we are going to start using you and they never do.
Do I vent, explain how I am feeling or continue to read the board and never post? I want to get everyone's input, the good and the bad. I appreciate your opinion and will continue to advertise and put my money where it works. It looks like the SOT website is one of the first places I will put my money.
