I have taken Course One and I liked it.  It reinforced training I received from the title company I use to work for.  It is heavy on the legal side of title work, mostly examing.  I am working on Course Two.  A friend of mine who works for another major title company said she just finished both courses and got a certificate from work.  Any kind of course like this is helpful in honing your skills as an abstractor or to move on to become a title examiner if you wish.  Many people I have talked with have not been satisfied with those online courses that you pay for anywhere in the range of $79 to $229.  You can always add it to your resume too.  ALTA does offer good resources, pricey though, but seems all organizations like this are getting that way.  Good Luck, Jen
