Thank you Kevin.  The E&O article was written by Jarrod Clabaugh, our new journalist.  He has been researching issues that pertain to abstractors and will be developing more content for our site.  I will suggest to him your ideas for follow-up, I'm sure he will appreciate the input.

The steering issue is something I have heard about.  The other factor that may be causing higher rates is that there are so few insurers offering this type of coverage.  As a private pilot, I have seen the same thing happen with general aviation insurance.  There are only a handful of companies that offer the coverage now, and the premiums are going up sharply.
