Why would an attorney want to become certified in the first place.  If I had gone thru law school and passed the bar, I wouldn't want or need it.
Perhaps we can discuss this at the next committee meeting. 
But I know I would oppose accepting state licensed abstractors and just handing them a certification.  We are trying to set strick standards and if their state requires less than we do, than I say no.  Perhaps if their states requires more than we do, we could discuss it.  Perhaps this is something the committee needs to discuss futher with the Board.
