Hey Jan and Judy,

We need to have a rough idea of who will come to the conference to know what kind and size of a facility to be looking for. The sooner we know then numbers, the sooner we can firm up the plans. As soon as responses get in, commitees can be formed and plans can be completed. Robert has already offered to set up a conference call to help with the planning.

Right now June 4-6 seems to be a good date. Yes we are checking different facilities that will be avaliable. The date is right before summer vacations, just at the beginning of the busy abstract season. Summer time is full of vacations and very busy for all of us. If we wait until fall, we have kids (mine included) heading back to school, then Thanksgiving, Christmas...you get the picture. If not now, when? We can always find a reason to push this back further. We have not asked anyone to make plane reservations, but have to start by knowing numbers.

This conference will just be the beginning of an association, if there is to be one, raise and answer question, dicuss issues and concerns. Everything will not be settled and taken care of in one weekend. Far from it. The association will also not be a one stop cure all for every problem facing us. It will be an ongoing, growing and developing entity. Unless after one conference we as a group decide not to form as association, there will be other conferences, 1 or 2 a year, I don't know. Let's get this one going and see where we lead ourselves. Jay
