We have been using the DocuPen scanners now for a couple of months and have found that they work great. In the counties where we are permitted to use them, we have drastically reduced our copy expenses.
Check out the "Docupen portable scanner" link on this site for more information, including a sample scan. I must admit, that I have never used a capshare, but they seem expensive (as well as hard to find).
The docupen also has the advantage of scanning the entire page in one pass, and it is so small and light that it can pretty much go anywhere.
