One of the deputy clerks in a small courthouse that I go to is fighting neuroblastoma at M D Anderson right now, so I have the same situation. While she was in the courthouse, we discovered several connections, including with my first cousin's son, and have become friends over the years. She is in my prayers daily. Even though she has endured chemo, a 14 hour surgery, more chemo and radiation treatments, she is a great inspiration to me and, I'm sure, to others. Her faith is astounding and I've been bolstered by her spirit on my days when I'm not having a good day. Supporting friends, and acquaintances even, costs me nothing and many times I find myself the recipient of the blessing I intended for another. I'll be praying for your friend as well. May God give her strength and courage for her journey.
