As a title examiner, I say no. Simply scanning the records is not an abstract. Abstractors have to compare records, or trail chains that split off. etc etc
And what about those crappy copies that exist in the Registry? No info to be gleaned from a "computer" sweep.
I can't even get my expensive PDF converter to properly convert docs to word. Technology at that level just doesn't exist yet and computerization of the art of abstracting is not an easy thing to teach a computer.
One of the reasons we don't use new abstractors who just go in and copy county records, thinking that is a "search"
