This is a warning to any consumer who could become the victim of Genesis Title Agency in Westerville, OH.

Stephanie Matthews, funding officer, requested that I wire $800 to them so that my local property taxes would be paid.  I had to do this in order to close on my loan, but I was notified of this less than 24 hours before closing.  I was not told that Genesis Title was charging me $80 to pay my taxes for me.  If I had known i was being charged this fee I would have simply paid the taxes myself. 

After filing complaints with the Ohio Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau, and after several requests for a refund, they still kept some of my money.  In my opinion they are committing fraud.
