I have a customer in Cali who knows for sure someone forged a deed taking her out of title. She even looked up the notary who supposedly verified her ID and signature, no such notary exists. I don't really think we can help with any sort of title search. She has all the county records for her property. She is acting as her own attorney. We told her to contact an attorney and a private investigator. Is there something a title searcher could do to help her? I just couldn't think of anything. Seems to me that if she can prove that notary doesn't exist or never existed, that is all she needs to be able to fight for her rights to the property.
