Federal Court of Appeals was busy yesterday!  FinCEN BOIR - Beneficial Ownership Information Reporting Requrirements are in effect with new deadlines

Since the Dec. 3 injunction, many updates, the latest news is yesterday, Dec. 23rd coming from the Federal Court of Appeals.

  • Reporting companies created/registered prior to Jan 1, 2024 or created Sep 4th or later in 2024 - have now until Jan 13, 2025 to file their BOIR
  • Reporting companies created/registered on or after Dec 3 and on or before Dec 23 (injunction period) have an additional 21 days from their original deadline. 
  • Reporting companies qualifying for disaster relief may have extended deadlines.
  • Again, if a reporting company is created/registered on or after Jan 1, 2025, they have 30 days to file the BOIR (after actual/pubilic notice of their effective creation/registration)
Be sure to note the reporting / deadlines if it applies to you.
