How I handle them is giving them hard ETAs, like time and date.

The Attorney I trained under would give me strict deadlines and expect hard ETAs in the form of: "ETA Tuesday, Jan 7th, 2026 EOD EST".

I have always used that when working out of the courts, as Attorneys are deadline focused and can be very strict. 

I would say, if it is "3-4 business days" and it is Monday, I would say "ETA Thursday, (month) (day of month) EOD". Aim for the higher date and if you get it delivered sooner, even better.
