Thanks so much for all the feedback! I am hearing more and more BAD stuff about getting started in this business! 
We do already run our own business - my husband does Home Improvement and has been for 15 years so we are well aware of doing a home based business, but I was not aware of the liabilities that come with Title Abstracting.  Thanks again!!!
