Robert, this is a great post! I certainly can imagine people and large groups of people getting away with this everyday. It would make great sense (if you were a convict) to make some payments and wait for a foreclosure preceeding, go sip some Mai Tais and Bahama Mamas and then live fraudulently ever after. It's a shame what goes on today. Unfortunatley, as technology eliminates the amount of human interaction, I only foresee it getting worse. Much worse. Did you ever think that these people may send in fake ID's to the companies contracting them, or even do business under another entity? Possibly even a deceased individual? Vendor managers seldom if ever see the faces of their contractors to be able to verify their face next to a picture ID. We have seen it in PA as general identity theft where employees of companies aren't who they say they are and live completely seperate lives to add supplement income to their own disability claims and unemployment compensation. Imagine if these people knew what they could get away with in title such as what you stated in your post?

Hope all is well!

Jason
