Dear SOT Members,

I just read an interesting article that lends some weight to some of the issues that we've recently covered here about kickback schemes and affiliated business arrangements within the title industry.

I hope that all of you will check it out.  It's a well-written article with some opinion-editorial, which we try not to do here unless we warn you first.  I think it definitely points out some issues that need to be considered by all those operating in this field and the challenges that referral fees and kickbacks present when small title companies try to compete with the monoliths who dominate the industry.
